First baseman Lance Berkman jacked one out of the ballyard and had 3 RBI as
the Jefferson Park Penguins ballclub embarrassed the Tampico Stogies by the
count of 14 to 2.
Jefferson Park took the lead for good in the top of the 3rd inning scoring 2
runners on 2 hits. The key offensive moment was provided by Berkman who
helped quiet the crowd when he bombed a two-run dinger. Jefferson Park
simply wore out the Tampico pitching staff, scoring in 6 different innings.
